The Book of Boba Fett Season 1, episode 1 review

*****Spoilers ahead*****

The who, what, where, when, and how regarding just how Boba Fett who was thought to be dead after falling into the Sarlacc Pit in Return of the Jedi have finally been addressed. This went a long way in explaining how the popular Star Wars character was able to show up in The Mandalorian. Wednesday, The Book of Boba Fett premiered on Disney Plus, some fans were satisfied some were not. As with anything Star Wars fan wise that is par for the course.

While I was on the fence as to whether or not Boba Fett should have his own show, that was quickly put to ease. It’s not that I did not or do not like Fett, he was always a background character with a supposed unfortunate death.

The Book of Boba Fett, Season 1, episode 1, was told in flashback form for a chunk of the show. What was nice was that Fett escaping the Sarlacc Pit was made cannon and not just a passage in the Tails from Jabba’s Palace novel.

Jawa’s find Fett who was passed out in part from escaping, in part because he was covered in stomach acid. The Jawa’s take his armor which explained how Cobb Vanth ended up with and wearing Fett’s armor in The Mandalorian. We also hear about a mysterious mayor, which I have some thoughts on that. But that is for another time.

Boba Fett is then captured buy a group of Tuskin Raiders. He is held captive at their camp site until he saves one of the children, which sheds light on how Fett and the Tuskin Raiders have respect for each other again in The Mandalorian.

Star Wars fans were spilt on the kickoff show. Some said it was too slow, while others liked the pacing. I happen to like the pacing. There was a lot of back story to fill in, in order to catch fans up on Fett and episode 1 did just that.

I am interested to see where this goes. Not to mention to find out how Fennec Shand will use her skills  as an expert assassin during the course of the show. It feels like the show is going to pick up the pace going forward.

All and all, The Book of Boba Fett’s premier show was satisfying  if not spectacular which again feels like is coming.

Boba Fett to lead a fight against Crimson Dawn?

The highly anticipated Disney + streaming show, The Book of Boba Fett is set to kick off December 29. The show will focus on Boba Fett along with his partner Fennec Shand and their role in running the Star Wars underworld that was once ruled by Jabba the Hutt. In fact the two appear to set up base in Jabba’s old palace on Tatooine.

Now rumor has it that a certain group will challenge Boba and Fennec’s authority in  ruling the underworld. That group is none other than Crimson Dawn. The crime syndicate founded and once lead by Maul.

Crimson Dawn became known to Star Wars fans during the events of Solo: A Star Wars story. You will recall that Han Solo’s love interest Qi-ra killed her  boss Dryden Vos to take over Crimson Dawn with Maul as her boss.

With that as the backdrop, there was a struggle for control of the Star Wars underworld. Qi-ra had remodeled Crimson Dawn into a band of criminal rebels . You’ll need to watch the trailer for The Book of Boba Fett or re-watch it here:

There seems to be an indication that Boba who says he intends to rule with respect and Fennec come into some conflict. I am convinced it is with Crimson Dawn. Which would mean the return of Qi-ra as well.

That leads to another question, will we also see Maul? If so that would lead into Kenobi which is set air on Disney + next year as Obi-Wan and Maul fought on Tatooine.

We will all find out soon enough. But, The Book of Boba Fett has the making of a very good story. Again, I full expect a Fett/ Fennec vs Crimson Dawn struggle to take place for control. It should please Star Wars fans everywhere.

Star Wars villain Maul appears to be getting his own show

Disney + appears to be bringing another popular Star Wars character to the small screen. The former “Darth,” Maul looks to be in the works. The story will be focused around the former Sith Lord’s time running the criminal syndicate Crimson Dawn. The show which started out as a live-action idea is now said to be animated.

While the exact title of the show which will feature Maul is unknown, is known to take place after the events of the widely successful “The Bad Batch.” What the exact timeline is is still unknown.

What seems interesting yet calculated, word of the Maul show broke yesterday after The Book of Boba Fett had it’s trailer release. Maul has an interesting history in the Star Wars Universe.

In The Phantom Menace, Maul appeared to die at the hands of Obi-Wan Kenobi. Yet, he survived out of anger and was fitted with robotic legs. His role in both Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars: Rebels left fans wanting more.

Maul made a cameo in Solo: A Star Wars Story as the leader of Crimson Dawn. So the question is how does Maul, Crimson Dawn and Boba Fett connect? I can only submit my thoughts here. So her goes.

I believe it is possible that the Maul show will show how he put Crimson Dawn together and the effects of the groups work had on the galaxy far far away. In The Book of Boba Fett trailers there is a quick shot of Fett talking to a group of people.

DARTH MAUL

I believe those people are none other than the members of Crimson Dawn, the same Crimson Dawn that ( I am going out on a limb here) Boba Fett now runs. While those are my thoughts, I believe this is how they can connect the stories together.

Hold on Star Wars fans, it’s about to get interesting and fun. Very soon.

In what has been kept under lock and key, Boba Fett is getting a special on Disney +

It is no secret to Star Wars fans that Boba Fett is a huge fan favorite. Fett is also the greatest Bounty Hunter the Star Wars Universe has ever seen. Thought to be left for dead in the Sarlacc Pitt on the the sands of Tatoonie, Boba Fett made his triumphant return to Star Wars, in Disney +’s The Mandalorian. The Disney streaming channel is set to launch The Book of Boba Fett, December 29, 2021.

History and Legacy, that is what Disney + is centering the Boba Fett special (no official title has been released as of yet,) around. While much is unknown about just what the show will focus on other than history and legacy, it is fair to say we should be getting some familiar Star Wars characters to go along with Boba Fett, as Disney likes to do.

Temuera Morrison, who portrayed Jango Fett in the Star Wars Sequel Trilogy and Boba Fett (his cloned son) in The Mandalorian, will also be staring as the younger Fett in the special. It is not known at this time if the story will be told in flashback time or real time with flashbacks. Also what is not known at this time is if The Mandalorian character and Fett’s right hand helper Fennec Shand, will appear. While Fennec will be in the Book of Boba Fett.

So when is this, Boba Fett’s History and Legacy special getting released? It is rumored to be November 12, 2021. This will be a primer for December 29 when the Book of Boba Fett releases.

Also, a nice bit of rumored information, at the conclusion of Boba Fett’s special there will be a trailer for The Book of Boba Fett. It could be during the after credits so do not stop streaming or you will miss the trailer.

Late fall/ early winter is shaping up to be a very happy time for Star Wars fans everywhere.

The Book of Boba Fett will incorporate flashback scenes

Veteran Star Wars actor Temuera Morrison who in the Star Wars Prequel Trilogy portrayed Bounty Hunter (and clone templet) Jango Fett and now stars on The Mandalorian as fan favorite Boba Fett. The character is returning this December in the hotly anticipated Book of Boba Fett on Disney +. Morrison gave a hint at what the show will feature.

As with anything Star Wars actors and actresses are not allowed to give out much details if any at all. That is unless given permission by the right people. The Book of Boba Fett has fans waiting anxiously.

When Temuera Morrison let the cat out of the bag that the show will feature flashbacks all the way back to The Empire Strikes Back and will lead up to where fans first saw him in Season 2 of The Mandalorian.

While that was a nice wet the appetite boarding juicy detail, it still leaves a lot of questions. The main questions Star Wars fans have is will a flashback show the legendary Bounty Hunter fly out of the Sarlaac Pit in which he fell into in Return of the Jedi.

What fans need to remember about Boba Fett, is that he fell out of love with the Empire after they left him for dead which has been hinted at on The Mandalorian. Much like Darth Maul who fell out of love with the Sith, so much so he ditched the Darth and went by just Maul.

It will be interesting to see what details are in the flashback scenes and just how far they go back. Not to mention how they link together with the present when we first see Fett.

Boba Fett goes on to run a successful Bounty Hunter syndicate which I believe is what was set up when Fett sat on the thrown of Jabba the Hutt. Let’s hope that is how the show goes because then it opens the door for Star Wars characters like Asajj Ventress.

Marvel’s newest comic book series, Star Wars: Bounty Hunters

Embed from Getty Images Marvel Comics announced it is releasing a brand new Star Wars comic series for fans to enjoy, and it’s focus is all on the deadliest beings in the galaxy. Star Wars: Bounty Hunters will bring the best of the best bounty hunters together in the same series, but that does not necessarily working together.

Writer Ethan Sacks, wrote Bounty Hunters #1, which takes place after the events of “The Empire Strikes Back.” In the kick-off graphic novel, the bounty hunter, business is booming. However, a bounty gets informed with the recent whereabouts of one Nakano Lash, a former bounty hunter notorious for betraying her crew on mission to Corellia which failed years earlier.

Lash’s crew consists of Beilert Valance who is a cyborg, Bossk the Trandoshan, and the legendary Boba Fett. These are not bounty hunters anyone would want to cross, and they’re about to show us why they are feared.

After Bounty Hunters #1 shows the betrayal in the past, it jumps back to present time. A bounty is still a bounty, and others will be interested, it’s just that these three in particular have personal axes to grind.

The comic explores Bossk, current failure of not being the one to catch Han Solo and Chewbacca, learns about Lash from none other than Doctor Aphra and the Wookie Black Krrsantan. Boba Fett receives a call from a bounty broker, who informs him of Lash as a courtesty. Despite still having Han Solo frozen in carbonite en route to deliver him to Jabba the Hutt, Fett takes the job offer, free of charge.

Bounty Hunters #1 is a very good start to a series that looks to be high action with plenty of double crosses and deadly gun fights to keep fans guessing as to who will come out on top. The hunt is on!
